Spiritual and Professional Support: Receive support in maintaining Catholic values while pursuing your medical career. Help students and residents prepare for an exciting and challenging future in medicine.
Issues: Learn about Catholic values in Medicine on pertinent issues such as stem-cell research, end-of-life care, physician assisted suicide, contraception, abortion, Natural Family Planning and other health-related issues.
Publications: The National CMA publishes The Linacre Quarterly, an outstanding journal dealing with ethics and medical/moral issues, as well as a newsletter with information about the activities of the CMA. Membership in the national organization entitles you to receive these publications free of charge. Meetings/Conferences: Attend local and regional meetings, as well as national conferences, designed to increase awareness of moral issues faced by physicians and health care professionals.
Service: Volunteer for service in local health care projects (Catholic Charities Free Healthcare Center, Catholic Hospice, Inc., Operation Safety Net and others) as well as overseas through the National CMA Medical Missions program.
